  11. A Basic Bitch’s Thoughts

So, I finally found some time off in my very hectic schedule for some R&R at my home base in Long Island. The beauty of living on your own definitely has its perks, but you do appreciate the time you spend with your family a lot more. This week, I don’t have to worry about spending a single dime on commuting and food, which is basically all I ever need in life.

And with all this new R&R time at home, it only means one thing = marathons of my FAVORITE reality shows. My favorite pastime has always been watching mindless television, but since moving out, I don’t have cable anymore (RIP my Bravo TV & E! shows). Like any other basic bitch in this world, my instincts were to tune into the endless marathon of Keeping Up With The Kardashians which just happens to be on E!. Apparently the season finale which features Kimye’s wedding is tonight, explaining why I hit the jackpot with the Kardashian marathon. Two episodes in, here are some of my observations:

    • Baby Mason is going to grow up to be such a P-I-M-P. Damn, what a good looking toddler.
    • Bruce Jenner and Scott Disick’s relationship has grown a lot closer in a very endearing way. As Scott’s finally embracing his role as a responsible, albeit spoiled, dad, he seems to spend much more time with Bruce over their shared interests in expensive toys. It’s also nice to see how Bruce is stepping in as an adult figure in Scott’s life after both Scott’s parents have passed away. All along, since the very first season, the men of the Kardashian clan have been my favorite anyway. Rob, I hope you get your shit together soon, *fingers crossed*.
    • Kourtney’s new crib is bangin’. Their white Lambo being parked in their garage was pure sex.
    • Kim def. seems more humbled and sensible now that she’s a mother, herself. The Vienna episode showed how much depth Kim possesses to her usual one-dimensional personality.
    • Bruce Jenner, I’ve always liked you the best, but dear God, your face is getting frightening to look at. Wealthy people just can’t seem to age gracefully and let nature run its course.
    • Kris Jenner is forever the mom who tries too hard to fit in with her daughter’s generation (Knock knock, generation gap too wide).
